Oakley Hydro Fuel Puffer Jacket

Oakley Hydro Fuel Puffer Jacket

Oakley was founded in 1975 by avid motorcross fan Jim Jannard who named the brand after his pet dog ‘Oakley Anne’. He started out by producing motorcycle grips constructed from ‘Unobtainium’, a unique rubber material that he had created which offered the best grip in wet conditions. It wasn’t until 1984 that Oakley made their move into the eyewear market, which they would go on to completely revolutionise. During the 90s they decided to transfer their innovative expertise into the clothing market. The ‘Hydro Fuel’ line specialised in peoducing high quality insulated snow gear with water resistant materials for optimum performance.

This particular jacket from the Hydro Fuel line is one of the most sought-after. It is constructed from Oakley’s water resistant nylon and utilises body mapping technology to create a unique arrangement of the goose down insulation for optimal warmth. There are 4 front storage options that have been worked into the padding arrangement to give a seamless hidden effect. There is also another compartment on the lower back and 2 interior pockets with space for valuables and a headphone cord channel. 2 zips on the front of the shoulders reveal mesh lining beneath for ventilation and a removable powder skirt makes this perfect for daily use. The hood is removable too and features a magnet system to keep it secured when not in use. Truly one of the best down jackets of all time and one of my favourite Oakley pieces.

Great condition with minor signs of wear.
