Oakley Blade II Watch 2006

Oakley Blade II Watch 2006

Oakley approached the millennium by transferring their technical expertise over to the Watch market. The iconic ‘Timebomb’ (1998) was a great showcase of Oakley’s obscure design ethos and showed how they could apply their unique ‘mad science’ design language to something as classic as a timepiece. The timebomb was an instant hit, leading to several other Watch models being developed from 2000 onwards, which futher cemented Oakley’s position as a leader of innovation.

The Blade watch, designed by the legendary Peter Yee, took inspirstion from saw blades in the design of the outer casing and time hands. Oakley stated that it takes 27 blasts from a powerful hydraulic ram and 16 million lbs of force to create the razor contours of high-grade stainless steel, with a delicate swiss movement. Although it isn’t the most lightweight watch, the design has proved to be timeless and it remains comfortable enough for daily wear.

Great condition with minor signs of wear, comes iwht original box, papers and links.
