Shimano Ear-Flap Cap

Shimano was originally started in 1921 as ‘Shimano Iron Works’ and right from the start they began producing specialised bicycle components. By the end of the century they had established themselves as a market leader for metal component production for a wide range of sporting activities, from Bicycle brakes to fishing reels. 

This piece is a Shimano cap from the 2000s which shows how they were able to transfer their technical expertise over to clothing and accessories. It features a light fleece lining with flip-down ear covers and a clip attachment system which allows the wearer to connect the cap to any accessories when not in use.
