Prada Sport Gore-Tex Shell from 2000

Prada Sport Gore-Tex Shell from 2000

In 1999 Prada began working with W. L. Gore to develop outerwear for their Prada Sport line, which aimed to produce athleisure garments with materials and shapes that assimilated the features of ‘technical mountain clothes’. This jacket is the first of its kind from Prada and served as the inspiration for several other jackets that the fashion house produced in later years (particularly the Luna Rossa Challenge jackets), some of which can be found on this page! This piece also perfectly represents the more technical yet sophisticated route that Prada took in the early 2000s with their designs.

The jacket itself is constructed from a high quality Gore-Tex material, developed specially for Prada, with taped seams. It has a rough exterior which has a very unique appearance in daylight, almost like a liquid metal effect. There are two standard pockets on the exterior and another 2 Velcro-sealed interior pockets. Features such as the 4 metal pit vents and adjustable neoprene cuffs improve the overall comfort and breathability of the jacket. Any compatible Prada nylon hood can be zipped into the collar. Rounded-off with signature Prada branding on the chest and back. One of the best jackets Prada has ever produced, with long-standing influence which can be seen in more recent seasons of the Linea Rossa line in its construction and style.

Great condition with some minor signs of wear and age.
