Prada Mainline ‘Bandana Flame’ Shorts - F/W2018
Before Miuccia Prada took over the fashion house in the late 1970s, Prada had not been much different from other luxury brands with their products, solely offering a range of luxury leather goods. Miuccia decided to experiment with different materials in order to give Prada a fresh look (Leather had been the most used material by fashion houses at the time). In 1979, Miuccia introduced the first range of bags constructed from a heavy duty nylon material, which had been labelled as an ‘anti-luxury’ material. These ‘anti-luxury’ luxury bags instantly became a hit. Prada later expanded into clothing in the 90s, continuing the use of Nylon in their designs, and have never looked back.
This pair of shorts from the F/W2018 season are constructed from Prada’s signature nylon fabric and was part of a unique series of prints that featured on the runway, labeled as 'bandana flame’. They feature the signature prada logo on the small right side pocket, 2 standard hand pockets and another compartment on the back. They also have interior netting as they can be used for water activity.
Great condition with very minor signs of wear.
