Prada Mainline Anniversary Puffer Jacket
Prada Mainline Anniversary Puffer Jacket
Before Miuccia Prada took over the fashion house in the late 1970s, Prada had not been much different from other luxury brands with their products, offering a range of luxury leather goods. Miuccia decided to experiment with different materials in order to give Prada a fresh look (Leather had been the most used material by fashion houses at the time). In 1979, Miuccia introduced the first range of bags constructed from a heavy duty nylon material, which had been labelled as an ‘anti-luxury’ material. These ‘anti-luxury’ luxury bags instantly became a hit. Prada later expanded into clothing in the 90s and have never looked back.
This Jacket was part of a special collection from 2009 which paid homage to those famous nylon bags that took the fashion world by storm over 30 years prior. It is constructed from the same high-quality nylon and signature lining that Prada uses for their bags with down padding for warmth. It also features 2 standard outer pockets with one interior pocket. There are also leather parts for the zip-pulls, adjustable cuffs and ‘handle’, which sits above the famous Prada triangle logo on the back of the jacket. The interior ‘belt’ with the chrome Prada buckle allows the waist to be secured and perfectly rounds of these high-quality iconic pieces.
