Oakley Software Sandbag Sling Pack
Oakley Software Sandbag Sling Pack
By the end of the 1990s, Oakley had revolutionised the eyewear market with their unique approach to design. Their expansion into the clothing market had also proved to be a success by developing a wide range of high performance gear. However, the turn of the millennium signified a new era of ‘Mad Science’ design, pushed heavily by founder Jim Jannard and encapsulated by the launch of Oakley’s wildest & most iconic pieces of all time. This new design approach spanned across all departments, including the clothing division leading to the production of more considered and highly technical performance pieces like the ones above.
The bag is constructed from a mix of ripstop and ballsitic nylon materials making it highly durable. The triangular clip closure conceals a small mesh 3-pocket system and a main storage compartment. The main compartment features divided interior pockets, attachment clips and an interior bladder holder for hydration. There are also multiple exterior storage options such as mesh pockets on either side and a large compartment on the back. The padded Velcro strap features multiple bullet loops, a D-ring and small pockets for quick access to valuables. The bag also has a waist strap for security and straps along the bottom for attachments. One of the most unqiue and useful sling bags i’ve seen, rounded off with signature Software branding and the Oakley ‘Mad Science’ design plaque.
Good condition with minor signs of wear.
