Oakley Software Panel Jacket & Vest
Oakley Software Panel Jacket & Vest
Oakley was founded in 1975 by avid motocross fan Jim Jannard who named the brand after his pet dog ‘Oakley Anne’. He started out by producing motorcycle grips constructed from ‘Unobtainium’, a unique rubber material that he had created which offered the best grip in wet conditions. It wasn’t until 1984 that Oakley made their move into the eyewear market, which they would go on to completely revolutionise. During the 90s they decided to transfer their innovative expertise into the clothing market. The Software label specialised in producing unique and technical designs for a wide range of clothing, further cementing Oakley’s position as a leader of innovation.
This particular piece is a personal favourite from the software line. It is constructed from a high-quality waterproof Nylon material with red mesh lining for breathability. There are 4 main pockets on the front that have been worked into the contrasting panels, a stash pocket concealed by the main zipper, pockets on the arms and a pocket on the back. There is also an interior fleece vest that can be worn separately or zipped into the jacket for an extra layer of warmth. This piece is rounded off by pit zips for ventilation, an interior powder skirt and a removable storm hood.
Great condition with no evident flaws.
