Oakley Softshell Ventilated Jacket
Oakley Softshell Ventilated Jacket
Oakley was founded in 1975 by avid motocross fan Jim Jannard who named the brand after his pet dog ‘Oakley Anne’. He started out by producing motorcycle grips constructed from ‘Unobtanium’, a unique rubber material that he had created which offered the best grip in wet conditions. It wasn’t until 1984 that Oakley made their move into the eyewear market, which they would go on to completely revolutionise. During the 90s they decided to transfer their innovative expertise into the clothing market.
This particular piece from the 2010s era features a softshell construction with articulated mesh-backed pit zips for ventilations. There are 2 pockets for storage and an adjustable hood and cuffs.
