Oakley MTB Panelled Shorts
Oakley MTB Panelled Shorts
Oakley was founded in 1975 by avid motorcross fan Jim Jannard who named the brand after his pet dog ‘Oakley Anne’. He started out by producing motorcycle grips constructed from ‘Unobtainium’, a unique rubber material that he had created which offered far better grip in wet conditions. It wasn’t until 1984 that Oakley made their move into the eyewear market, which they would go on to completely revolutionise. Oakley continued to blend their technical design expertise with their love for extreme sport by launching several active clothing lines throughout the 2000s period. The ‘MTB’ line of clothing specialised in producing high-performance mountain biking gear, which bolstered Oakley’s reputation as a leader of innovative design.
This pair of MTB shorts is constructed from a mix of lightweight breathable fabrics and hard-wearing materials which allows for a consistently comfortable fit in a variety of conditions. They feature unique panelling with storage compartments on each thigh for valuables. They also have front zips that open the thigh panels for ventilation.
