Oakley Blade Backpack

Oakley Blade Backpack

Oakley was founded in 1975 by avid motorcross fan Jim Jannard who named the brand after his pet dog ‘Oakley Anne’. He started out by producing motorcycle grips constructed from ‘Unobtainium’, a unique rubber material that he had created which offered a far better grip in wet conditions. It wasn’t until 1984 that Oakley made their move into the eyewear market, which they would go on to completely revolutionise. During the 90s they decided to transfer their innovative expertise into the clothing market. However, the turn of the millennium signified a new era of ‘Mad Science’ design, beginning with Oakley launching an extensive collection under their ‘Software’ label which specialised in a wide range of technical clothing and accessories including backpacks like these. Oakley also launched their ‘Tactical Field Gear’ label, specialising in pieces with highly technical designs and heavy military influence that were built to handle any conditions, futher cementing their position as a leader of innovation.

The Blade backpack features a ripstop blend construcction for high durability. There are 2 large compartments, each with a selection of cargo pockets on the interior lining, as well as 2 exterior sections that can be unzipped to reveal hidden pockets underneath. There is also storage on top with fleece lining and padding for storing sunglasses. A clip running through the middle of the exterior allows for attachments.
