Mandarina Duck is an Italian fashion brand founded in 1977 by Paolo Trento and Pietro Mannato. Originally specializing in leather goods and travel items, the brand became recognized for its bold color choices in a market saturated with classic styles and monochrome products. By the late 90s, Mandarina Duck expanded into the apparel market with the help of British designer Jeff Griffin. The well-considered apparel from that time featured in-house, proprietary fabrics which were developed solely for Mandarina Duck. Unique design elements, branded hardware, and advanced fabrication techniques aligned to create a consistent feeling of luxury, utility, and futurism.

This particular bag from the MD20 line perfectly encapsulates what Mandarina Duck was capable of during this period, transforming a simple pouch into technical luxury and wrapping it in beautiful colours. It features a large main compartment, with a smaller pocket layered above, and a small stash pocket on the strap, eacg with ergonomic zip pulls. It is easy to see why Mandarina Duck is regarded so highly when so much consideration goes into the smaller pieces.
