Gucci Shearling Lined Leather/Ballistic Nylon Combat Boot
Gucci Shearling Lined Leather/Ballistic Nylon Combat Boot
Inspired by his experience as a porter at The Savoy hotel in London, Guccio Gucci established his eponymous artisanal luggage atelier in Florence, 1921. His vision combined exceptional Tuscan materials and craftsmanship with the elegant English aesthetic. These early years established the brand's origins in the world of travel and exploration, which have remained intrinsically linked to Gucci's heritage. After Gucci began producing ready-to-wear in the mid-1960s, it opened its first clothing-dedicated store at 699 Fifth Avenue in New York City in 1972. The 1970s also saw the beginning of its collection presentations, frequently set at the St. Regis. Through the 1980s they expanded their selection of lifestyle items and the 1990s began and era where designers were called upon to bring their unique perspectives to the brand as creative directors, beginning with the iconic Tom Ford era from 1994 to 2006.
This pair of combat boots from the early 2000s features a durable ballistic nylon and leather construction on the upper with rope lacing and the iconic Red/Green House Web Stripe on the branded ankle strap. There is also Double-G embossed branding on the heel, toe cap and soles, as well as shearling lining around the ankle for warmth.
Great overall condition with some minor signs of wear.
