Giorgio Armani Mainline ‘G.A. Jeans’ Denim Overshirt - 1970s
Giorgio Armani founded Armani in 1975 and began presenting ready-to-wear collections until the early 1980s, when the first diffusion lines were created in order to expand the brand into different styles of design. Through the 1980s, Armani’s exceptional tailoring set them apart from other brands and the introduction of softer design approaches and a wider variety of materials through the 1990s, along with the increasing success of the diffusion lines, cemented Armani’s position as one of the most highly respected fashion houses in the industry.
This denim overshirt is from the Giorgio Armani mainline, releasing just a few seasons before the launch of the ‘Armani Jeans’ label in 1981. It features 2 chest pockets with ‘G.A. Jeans’ embroidered on the left side. It also features small metal eagle detailing on the collar.
Great condition with minor signs of wear and age.
