Final Home Expandable Nylon Survival Pants

Final Home Expandable Nylon Survival Pants

Kosuke Tsumura conceptualised Final Home whilst working as an assistant designer under Issey Miyake in the early 90s. Tsumura stated “i stimulated a situation that the world came to an end because of a nuclear war, but only a couple hundred people survived. My ideas and designs were for the people that survived that apocalyptic scenario”. Final Home is an early bridge between functionality and fashion, with the staple piece being the 1990s Survival Jacket, which allowed the wearer to carry everything they would need in order to survive. Tsumura elevated Final Home through the 2000s with a much wider range of pieces under the ‘Wears for Outdoor and Urban Activities’ label. All these pieces embodied the functional survivalist ethos of the brand and incorporated it into more casual garments.

This particular piece from the survival line features 2 full-length zips running down the side of each leg which can be opened to expand the width of the trousers when needed. The elasticated hems can also be upturned for a wider fit. There are 4 standard pockets for storage and the signature Survival I.D. logo on the thigh.

Overall condition is good but has signs of wear throughout and marks across the thighs.
