Emporio Armani Canvas/Leather Overcoat

Giorgio Armani founded Armani in 1975 and began presenting ready-to-wear collections until the early 1980s when the first diffusion lines were created. Emporio Armani & Armani Jeans were both launched in 1981 with the aim of dividing the different design approaches clear individual lines that showcased different styles. The Emporio Armani line aimed to produce a more ‘fashion-forward’ selection of garments that carry the same principles and qualities of the main line, with more unique design approaches. The popularity of this line grew rapidly through the '80s & '90s, becoming one of the leaders of the high-fashion industry by the 2000s. 

This piece from the late 1990s features a stiff cotton canvas exterior with qualited nylon lining for warmth and comfort. The unique collar can be raised and secured to protect the face completely from wind. There are leather button loops and leather pocket detailing.

Great condition with some minor signs of wear.
