Canali was founded in 1934 by brothers Giovanni and Giacomo Canali in Triuggio, Italy, initially operating as a family-run tailoring business specialising in men’s clothing. Following the Second World War, the company expanded its focus towards tailored suits and formal menswear, establishing itself within the Italian luxury fashion industry. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Canali grew internationally, expanding its collections to include casualwear alongside its traditional tailoring. This allowed the brand to offer a more versatile approach to menswear while maintaining its emphasis on quality, craftsmanship and fine Italian fabrics. Today, Canali continues to combine its heritage of Italian craftsmanship with contemporary design, producing collections that reflect both timeless elegance and modern menswear.
