Burton iDiom Jacket 2000s
Burton iDiom Jacket 2000s
Burton has been producing the highest quality snowboarding equipment since 1977, when founder Jake Burton Carpenter started the company out of his barn in Vermont. Through the creation of multiple sub-brands, Burton managed to undoubtedly establish themselves as one of the best snowboarding brands around. After some successful work together on previous projects, Hiroshi Fujiwara and Burton launched the collaborative sub-brand ‘iDiom’. The aim of this line was to blend the technical expertise of burton with the original prints and material patterns conceptualised by Hiroshi Fujiwara and Jeff Staple of Staple design.
This piece is an excellent example of what the iDiom line was all about. The jacket is constructed from waterproof fabric with taped seams for optimal performance. The exterior pattern is a grey checked design with subtle yellow highlights. There are 4 main storage compartments on the chest, one with a an attached microfibre cloth for cleaning eyewear. There is also a diagonal pocket by the cuff with a card holder section on the interior. Pit zips for ventilation, adjustable cuffs, hem and hood and the interior powder skirt round off this brilliant technical piece.
Good condition with some signs of wear and age on the interior fabric mainly.
