Burberry Linen Technical Jacket

Burberry Linen Technical Jacket

Thomas Burberry established Burberry in 1856 at just 21 years old, founded on the principle that clothing should be designed to protect people from the British weather. He later invented a breathable weatherproof fabric called gabardine in 1879. In the early 20th century Burberry established themselves in London and began to produce more revolutionary fabrics and gain popularity through their weatherproof trench coats. By the 21st Century Burberry had solidified themselves as one of the best outerwear brands in the world.

This particular piece from the 1980s is constructed from multiple layers of lightweight linen with unique panelling that allows for better ease of movement. There are 2 hand pockets hidden within the panels with another 2 chest pockets on display.
