Armani Jeans Faux Leather ‘J’ Jacket

Giorgio Armani founded Armani in 1975 and began presenting ready-to-wear collections until the early 1980s when the first diffusion lines were created. Emporio Armani & Armani Jeans were both launched in 1981 with the aim of dividing the different design approaches clear individual lines that showcased different styles. The Emporio Armani line aimed to produce a more ‘fashion-forward’ selection of garments that carry the same principles and qualities of the main line, with more unique design approaches. The popularity of this line grew rapidly through the '80s & '90s, becoming one of the leaders of the high-fashion industry by the 2000s. 

However, with each sub-brand growing in popularity by the 2000s, expansions to the Armani Jeans line saw the design team take on a much wider range of products with designs that steered away from the typical high fashion style of higher Armani labels and other brands. This particular piece from the early 2000s era features a faux leather construction with contrast panels and stitchwork. There are 2 studded J’s on the lateral side of each arm, 3 exterior pockets and an interior stash pocket. 

Great condition with very minor signs of age and wear.
