Spider-Man 3 ‘New Goblin’ Screen-Worn Mask - 2007

Spider-Man 3 ‘New Goblin’ Screen-Worn Mask - 2007

The ‘New Goblin’ mask was designed to be a deliberate departure from Norman Osborn’s iconic full goblin helmet. Instead of a monstrous face, it’s a partial tactical mask with lenses that were custom-made by Oakley using an Emerald Iridium base. The mask is finished in kevlar-style paintwork and built from lightweight rubber for stunt work and flexibility when filming. The design feels grounded and utilitarian, resembling extreme-sports or military gear. This reflects Harry’s situation: he’s not a long-term supervillain but a grieving, angry young man repurposing Oscorp technology with the sole purpose of hunting down Spider-man, rather than fully embracing the Goblin persona.

Several variations of the mask were made for stunts and effects, some with mechanical elements however this exact one was worn during the first fight scene with Peter Parker at the start of the film. The design, done by Frontline Designs, intentionally emphasizes realism and character psychology over spectacle, making it a subtle but meaningful part of Harry Osborn’s arc.
